Microphone repair restores party chat and voice features when the DualSense built-in mic goes silent, sounds distant, or adds crackle. Before assuming hardware failure we rule out mute toggles and console privacy settings — then we open the controller and fix the mic path when the hardware is at fault.

Software Checks Before Hardware
Confirm the DualSense mic is not muted on the console, that the correct input device is selected, and that a headset is not overriding the built-in mic. If another controller records fine on the same console, your DualSense hardware needs service.
How Mic Repair Works in the Lab
We open the shell, inspect the microphone module and flex/connections, replace the failed part when required, and test voice pickup before return. Liquid residue around audio ports is cleaned when present. If corrosion reaches the board, we discuss motherboard repair honestly.
